About Nerra Network
Ten ad-free daily podcasts. One mission — help curious people stay informed without drowning in noise, anxiety, or algorithmic outrage.
Our mission
The modern news cycle is optimised for engagement, not understanding. Infinite scroll, breaking-news chyrons, and opinion-as-news leave people more anxious and less informed. We built Nerra Network as the antidote: calm, focused, ~15-minute daily episodes that tell you what actually happened and why it matters.
Every show is produced in Vancouver, Canada, published at a predictable cadence, and released ad-free. No sponsors interrupting your morning commute. No clickbait. Just the signal.
Meet the founder
Patrick founded Nerra Network in Vancouver to build the kind of news diet he wished existed: short, focused, daily — and free from the outrage economy. He runs the pipeline, writes the music briefs, and maintains the independence that keeps the shows ad-free.
What we believe
Fresh over long
A shorter, varied episode beats a longer repetitive one. We'd rather ship 12 minutes of real news than 20 minutes of filler.
Ad-free, always
No host-read ads. No programmatic mid-rolls. The show belongs to listeners, not to whoever paid most this week.
Transparent sourcing
Every episode links to its source articles. No anonymous claims, no laundered narratives.
AI-assisted, human-governed
We use AI for research, drafting, and narration — but humans decide what ships and own the editorial standards. See our AI disclosure.
How we're funded
Nerra Network is independent and self-funded. We don't take sponsorships, we don't sell data, and we don't optimise for watch-time. Listener support — newsletter signups, word-of-mouth recommendations, and reviews on Apple Podcasts and Spotify — is what keeps the network growing.
